DEVS-based Virtual As-is Simulation Test (DVAST) Platform

What is DVAST?

The DVAST platform uses DEVS-based simulation technology to test complex operational software "as is" in high-fidelity simulations. 

  • DVAST offers a cost-effective alternative to building detailed models, enabling efficient testing of embedded software systems in high-fidelity non-real-time environments.
  • DVAST employs the DEVS simulation protocol for precisely timed virtualized execution, increasing mission readiness for the MDA and partner agencies.

Implementing DEVS-Based Time-Accurate “As Is” Operational Software Simulation

 Goal: 

  • Achieve DEVS-Based Accurate “As Is” Operational Software  Simulation by satisfying the requirements of  the DEVS Simulation Protocol (DSP)
  • Satisfy requirement that the computer model hosting the As Is software accurately represents the fielded hardware host
  • Integrate into RTSync’s Digital Engineering Ecosystem
